Milbank was part of the JournOlist group in 2007/08. It was composed of about 300 bloggers and “reporters” who were actively campaigning for 0bama. This is the group that zeroed in on, and savaged Palin during the 2008 election, and even kept after her long afterwards.

Calling a person or a small group of people racist may be effective. Calling tens of millions of people racist is a political blunder as now they have taken away their favorite weapon against their enemies. Nobody will believe them as they try racist now.
