If she has a majority in the EC, the party could name her replacement up to Dec 19th if for whatever reason, she couldn’t serve as President.
And it would be perfectly legal. The party national committee just has to convey the replacement named to the electors before or by Dec 19.
That’s when the real election takes place around the country.
