I din’t see it that way. Her knees buckled. She may or not have lost consciousness but she became unexpected dead weight to him.

Actually, it was more than three months before the election. Eagleton only lasted 18 days as the VP nom, after it was revealed he had electro-shock treatments and several hospital stays for depression. “Finger on the nuclear button” was the buzz-line that ended it for him.

Her knees buckled while she was still leaning on the post. He grabs her arm and then watch when his foot steps down off the curb. That’s when his legs buckled from the weight of her and THEN she collapses, and he takes her weight and keeps her from going to the pavement.
She didn’t go falling forward until he was surprised by stepping off the curb and buckled a bit.

Sorry, I misread your post, and didn’t need to correct anything.

Mentioned you by screen name there, too.
Yours is simply the very best post I have seen on the topic.
If any of this comes to pass, beef it up and post it as a editorial. It’s that good.

Ya think!?
Doesn’t matter. I’d bet 47% of voters would vote for a corpse. Just look at MO and the widow Carnahan.

Thanks. I've been complaining about vanities to JimRob for a while, so I would look hypocritical if I posted it as a two paragraph vanity. Besides,
this is a typical Publius vanity.

McGovern backed Eagleton 1000%. For a few days.

Note that we have some precedent. In 1872, the Democratic presidential nominee died right after the election. The DNC notified its electors by mail that there had been a change of ticket, and Democratic electors voted for the new ticket in December. It was just a formality because Grant and the Republicans had won in a landslide. I'm glad that I finally read your post, because we are about to witness a second almost identical precedent!"

Trumps campaign is against the Uniparty. Bush41 and Bush43 are enemies of the U.S. along with Obama and both Clintons. Notice that 41 and 43 are not supporting Trump. They should all hang—that is, EVERY President since Reagan should hang.
To: Reily
"Beats me, but I am sure state ballot access laws allow for replacement if candidate is dead or incapacitated."Like everything, "it depends". Remember that John Ashcroft was beaten in the Missouri Senate race in 2000 by Mel Carnahan -- who was dead.
But I don't think Clinton would voluntarily relinquish her position on the ticket. I'd be suspicious that the story is bogus.

Notice that when “conservative conspiracy theorists” are proven to have been correct ALL ALONG, they are still “conservative conspiracy theorists.” Only the status of the ISSUE changes.
