The world really did change on 9/11, so much so that the US looks and feels like a very different place than the one I grew up in.

The sign out front, the flag flying on the pole and the logo on the building are still the same...but somehow everything's different now, like we're under new ownership with new and different priorities.

Seven(!) years after 9/11, we somehow elected an ineligible, self-confessed foreign-born community organizer, whose records are sealed from US, to be the POTUS, and who has been fundamentally transforming US in every way possible ever since.

I keep wondering if there were some other optional surprises for US on 9/11, perhaps bio, chemical and/or nuclear, that weren't necessary, weren't used and were kept quiet, because we'd already agreed to their terms and the deal was finalized.

My oh my how things changed after 9/11!

From past experience of maintaining employment through several corporate takeovers, this looks and feels disturbingly familiar.

It feels like we were bought and have been in transition to the new management's control.

And, everything I see in every place I look says it's been the families in power since Reagan who have put US on the trading block.

It is what it is... whatever it is. Welcome to the new world odor, y'all.

I agree. The Pod People have taken over. Things look the same, but they aren’t.
