I will add you to our Trump Family Ping List. I think a “ping” means that you’ll get a post or ping...like what I’m doing now. When someone pings you, the “Pings” at the top of your page will be in red. Simply click that. If someone has emailed you, then it will also appear in red.
Some of us don’t have time to read a thread so BTTT (beat it to the top) Which means you reply and it ends up high on your ping list (the ones that you ping).
I’ve found that you can be very very very very very (five verys) informed just by reading Free Republic. It seems the articles posted here are ones that Rush and others pick up on, but in many instances, we have the news “right” whereas they don’t.
For example, the media continues to blame the Clinton email leeks on the Russians. All of us here know that it came from within the system. We think it was someone who was an aquaintance of Clinton who was recently killed.
People like Juan Williams daily says things about Trump that are untrue, eg that he made fun of someone who is disabled. We know that Trump was making fun of the newsman in the same fashion he does of others, by flinging his arms etc.
In short, the media and Clinton surrogates distort. Free Republic readers, or Freepers, seem to get the news right.

ladybug says she's been a reader, and I'll assume she's got her own ways of "fact checking." FR is a pretty good resource, but I will say that it is not only loaded with good information, it is also loaded with disinformation and falsehood.
ALWAYS, if a conclusion or contention matters to you for more than idle chit chat, do your own research, and try to to find the "authority" for the proposition, be it Congressional record, statutory law, full contents of remarks or a news report, and so on.

FR is a mixed bag, that's all I'm trying to say. I have often seen the majority of freepers run down trail based on falsehood. The herd instinct is at work here (on FR), too.
