RENTON -- The Seattle Seahawks hope to make a statement in their season-opening matchup versus the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. But some of the players might make a statement before the game even starts. Following protests by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Seattle cornerback Jeremy Lane, members of the Seahawks might join together to address the issues that motivated Kaepernick to first sit, then kneel during the playing of the national anthem.

I wonder what an NFL sponsor boycott would do to shut the Anti-American’s mouths? I’m thinking the NFL would lose a significant amount advertising revenue and attendance numbers, enough to impact the numbers so those big contract numbers wouldn’t exist anymore. That might shut their mouths. They’ll learn quickly that when you open your mouth and it impacts the NFL’s bottom line that your salary will get cut.
I like the idea of having the Anthem sung while the boys are still in the locker room. Those players who still love America can come out voluntarily and stand for the Anthem. People will note which ones do and which don’t.
Some fans are going to be disappointed in their heroes.
Let’s be honest here. The only reason Kaepernick went all BLM this season is because the dude was exposed as a QB who can’t play in the NFL. He’s pissed because he’s been relegated to the bench and he’s just raising a stink because he isn’t going to get any playing time. If he was the Niners starting QB you think he would be raising a fuss like this? Hardly. It’s OK. I’ll just watch more high school and college football now.

I’m an avid football fan, and have been since the 1950s. But, my preference is — and always has been — college football. That sentiment has increased exponentially over the past few decades, as the pro aspect has become intolerable to watch, what with semi-literate knuckle-draggers who can run fast and jump high getting paid millions of dollars a year for doing the same thing their betters did decades ago as a part-time job.
Stop giving them your money.
When they have to get real jobs, they may be more appreciative of what they had.
