In an appearance on BBC’s “Newsnight” that aired Tuesday, comedienne Amy Schumer vowed to move to Spain if Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump wins the presidential election.
Schumer questioned critics of Trump’s opponent Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, calling the people that “aren’t informed.”
“That’s what I’m saying with the not being informed because those people aren’t informed,” Schumer said. “You know, if you go, ‘Why don’t you like Hillary?’ they’ll go, ‘She lied about her emails. What else is she going to lie about?’ People get one fact and that’s what they latch on to about a candidate. They’ll go, ‘She lied about that.’ I’m like, ‘Well Donald Trump has a fake college. Donald Trump doesn’t pay his workers. He won’t release his taxes.’ There’s never been a nominee that has not released his taxes. I haven’t had a conversation with anyone who doesn’t like Hillary where they’ve had anything meaningful to say.”
“My act will change because I will need to learn to speak Spanish,” she added. “Because I will move to Spain or somewhere. It’s beyond my comprehension if Trump won. It’s just too crazy.”

Nt sure they would let her in. They have preferences for people from former Spanish and, of course, people from the EU. As for others:
” … in order to stay in Spain for more than 3 months, a residence card, residence visa or work permit is required”
Oh, and they have a wall.
Spain isnt a bad place to retire.
Lots of reasonably low cost flats in interesting cities.
Low crime by our standards (outside of tourist traps).
No huge need to drive in order to go visit anywhere interesting.
Speak the language and its easy to get along with the natives. They are reserved but open up when you do, and ahow you arent in tourist mode.
Note that it can get quite cold, it isnt Mexico or even Florida.
Spain isn’t far enough.
