I would agree that this is a realignment election. Our realignment elections were 1828, 1860, 1896, 1932 and 1980. All were landslides, except for 1860 where the two parties split into four. It took four years of bloodshed to effect the realignment.

If this is a realignment election and we don't see real competition from the Libertarians or Greens, then I would anticipate that 2016 will be a landslide for Trump. I'm looking for the electoral map to look something like 1980.

What say you LS?! Trump victory? Probably not a landslide like some people love to point out ...more like wishful thinking...I think more like a very very close race! Election night is NOT going to be pretty and I intend to drink myself to a stupor because the stress and the anticipation is going to go through the roof! Either we’ll wake up extremely depressed or V for victory!! ! I’m praying for the latter!
