How am I supposed to feel about this? On the one hand, he’s the leader of the free world, so he should be treated respectfully, but, on the other hand, I don’t respect him and it seems hypocritical to demand that others respect him when I do not. So, what to do? That the papers bury the story suggests that I should get bothered by the snub, but it doesn’t especially excite me.

Understand that both China and the US are [laying “payback” war games...this was one of them China got back at Obama.
To the Chinese these “signals” are ‘very’ significant....where as Obama might blow them off usually, this one was clearly understood.
Our Government has a special investigation commission for only China....heck even Russia didn’t warrent that in the Cold war. So every move is watched and the US is quite aware regarding China.
