As one of the only people who picked Trump as the winner of the primaries and continue to see him winning this election in a Trunami there is nothing I see to change that prediction and is going exactly as predicted. The reason the Pundiots have been completely wrong all year with their guesses and are wrong now is they are all trained to agree with each other and terrified to go against their own groupthink. Even if they were not cowards who would be willing to buck the tide, they would likely be taken off the air for not singing with the choir.
The next original thought coming from a professional propagandist will be their first. This pillar of the Three Pillars of Marxism (old media, academia and the DNC), has been so perfectly chiseled to the Marxist message that when one of their sources such as the NYT repeats a talking point then the rest of the media is simply going to parrot it. Their basic message is the gummit is the solution of every problem and Americans are evil. Any variance from their basic message and you will be mocked out of the industry.
The Pundiots and pollsters are completely out of their comfort zone with Donald Trump. Everything he says and does goes so against their inside the bubble world view. For the last three decades Repubs have been told and scolded that you stay away from everything he is discussing and especially immigration. You are supposed to pander to illegals and promise them amnesty to get their votes. What the experts forget to mention is the Dems already own that platform so the best you can be is a semi-Dem and come across as phony. Why would you vote for a fake Dem when you can vote for the real thing?
Pundiots view the campaign as any other sporting event and use the same cowardice as the sports prognosticators. The only difference between political experts and sports is that sports experts have an original idea once or twice a decade. Sports reporters very rarely pick the winner of games like the World Series or Super Bowl since they are too busy agreeing with each other rather than having original thoughts. You would be hard pressed to find any sports pundiots picking Manning and Denver even the week of the game since it was common knowledge that he was too old and Brady, Wilson, Newton were so much better and are. What they never saw was Payton’s heart and willingness to eliminate his own ego for the team to win.
The reason groupthink is so prevalent in sports reporting is that if you agree with group then you stay safe. If you agree with the group and the group is wrong, then they all just say it was an upset and nobody saw it coming. If you go against the group and predict a Denver win and another team wins then you are seen as an idiot and risk being fired. You are out on a limb and if you guess wrong the limb is chopped off then you are on your own. This is why you stay in the bubble and repeat the group lines since there is safety in numbers.
The bubble is even more intense in politics. To be considered a genius you can never be wrong and if you are the entire group has to be shocked and nobody saw it coming like Brexit. Add to that the absolute fact they are 98% activists for one team and you have a single thought army. Unlike the sports writers these experts walk in a lockstep that would make the Red Army proud.
We have seen it over and over in election after election. They laughed at the idea of the Tea Party leading the charge of taking back the House when everyone loved them...er...Obama. Same with the open mockery of taking the Sinate, the hysterical laughing at Bibi’s election loss of fifteen points as they had a month long victory lap. Then of course there was the losses all primary season of Trump and firewall after firewall from poll after poll showing him only getting ceiling after ceiling. In any other business not one of these so called experts would have a job let alone be taken serious, which shows the only thing more corrupt in Havana on the Potomac than politicians are reporters.
After the Brexit debacle you would think they would hedge their bets even slightly that Trump has any chance in their eyes. Now of course they have not talked to anyone who takes Trump serious or would consider voting for him so they write screed after screed denigrating him and his chances. They report such cutting edge analysis of his followers as angry White racists for going against the Marxist establishment. Add to it is their sanctimonious pride they have in their own superiority and you have a toxic combination of absolute agreement of a Harpy victory no matter how terrible she is.
This is like having the sports reporters all rooting for Dallas and doing everything they can to convince people that Dallas is the best team in the Country with their 0-10 record. The entire media has supported the Democrat Party for fifty years or more. Most are braindead Marxists who have been indoctrinated first by FDR socialists and then real Mao/Leninists who became professors in the 60’s and 70’s at all our Ivy League colleges. The only school that did not follow their doctrine was Columbia which has more of a Stalinist bent. Columbian grads were enamored by the Gulag.
Conservative media is not standing up for the people this election since they do not want to go out on a limb for Trump do to their fear of the Establishmedia. They would rather argue nice sterile things like budgets and Constitutions rather than things that matter to people like employment and safety. Those are two messy and full of traps and emotion such as fear and confusion. These are issues which really matter to people which takes a person willing to get into things which are not so cut and dry and puts the host out on limbs where the people live. They would have to admit we as Conservatives have made mistakes going along with bad treaties, social programs and wars. This would result in admitting we were wrong about our world view that every country wants or can handle freedom and the Judeo/Christian values which go with it. They may have to discuss religion and cults like Islam if they got into the weeds so they would rather be safe and make fun of Trump and his followers.
Our conservative spokesmen would rather turn their backs on Trump than have the courage to stand up to the Establishmedia. This is easier for their futures than having to get down into the mud and fight. For decades they have cried for another Reagan to come along who is articulate and not afraid to stand up for Conservative doctrine and speak in bold statements without fear of Political Correctness. Now that they finally have one they will not support him because he comes from liberal New York rather than that bastion of conservatism Hollywierd. We expect this from the liberal media, but it is cowardice when we are fragged by our own.
The media is corrupt from top to bottom. They are no different than Hillary and the Clinton Family Laundry which is why she flaunts her corruption openly. She knows that there is nothing she can do to make the Punditocracy question their morals or judgement since in the end they are both Pillars in the advancement of Marxism and will justify anything. The rest of the group is going to go along to get along and in the end will accept her corruption as the way things are done revealing their own corruption.
There is only one man who has had the courage to stand up and say enough is enough. That is why there have been bullets shot at him from both directions and why there has been only one group who is shielding him and that is the American people. They have taken these bullets for fifty years and expect it for fifty more. This is why there will be another unexpected earthquake in November and nobody in the Punditocracy heard or felt coming.

I managed to catch the you tube of Trumps visit to Rev. and Doctor Jackson’s black church in Detroit. It’s a difficult task to avoid the obvious pandering that occurs when a pol seeks support on enemy turf. Donald’s approach was to make an effort to listen and learn. I thought he was terrific and so effective that the MSM would have to shit can any tape on his success. If the libs saw what I saw in the receptive black audience they will be terrified and need to double their Prozac RX. Make no mistake, the election has had another pivot point and it’s trending in the direction that the MSM wants to squelch. Sen Flake makes 2 appearances today and he will come across loud and clear as a loser. He and the other never Trumpsters have made a bad choice and we should never forget.
Man, Arizona is hard up when it comes to Senators (Flake and McCain)!!!

He was very well received.
But not by the media who remain as despicable as ever.
Cutting the feed at the time he was getting a blessing from the Bishop, then trying to say it was because they were being thrown out, was beyond despicable.
FLAKE(!) on two shows. We all know what that’s about. As if anything he has to say is note worthy. McCain must be unavailable for comment.

Thank you AB for doing this thread on Sunday so reliably, even on a hurricane-embraced Labor Day weekend Sunday. Thank you Bray for weekly wisdom. Thank you yon commenters for fleshing it all out for me.
Someone commented last week that my weekly mostly unimportant dialogues is a form of a diary and I must agree. Not much of anybody cares about the shade of my lipstick but folks, that ripe red does look great on me. And I have decided against a tattoo but might ask for one more consideration from yon thread participants? How about a tattoo of a cross with a white scarf draped around the top? We’ve all seen that image before, right? How about that tattoo somewhere discrete, maybe a shoulder?
Or do you want to hear the story of the priest in his underwear which my eyes cannot unsee?

And please don’t forget my rant on Hillary just to pretend this is a political thread and, of course, there’s Mother Theresa, who was canonized last night which brings us to the story of the priest and the underwear.
I don’t know what got into Father Thomas Flowers’ mind but let me right now assert that he was NOT in his underwear but hand to God they looked like boxer shorts and that old saying, “that which has been seen cannot be unseen” applies here.
So me and Diane Feinstein pull into the church parking lot which is FILLED with people even though we were early because Hermine was supposed to be upon us causing us pain, fear and terror. So far I have not even needed an umbrella. I find a great spot and start to pull in but there is Father Tom’s car. I back out abruptly and tell Diane Feinstein I don’t want to park near that man. Whenever I am around Father Tom I get in trouble.
Evidently I did not park far enough away but for now, Feinstein and I go into the church, sing and get blessed by grateful parishioners around us. Man me and Diane Feinstein do more to lead those parishioners than the Cantor up front, yes we do, you may smile. Once again we must assert that NO, we are not sisters.
After the mass we get into my Jeep to pull out and both of us needed to bleach our eyeballs. Because coming out of the sacristy was Father Tom, wearing Bermuda shorts, big ugly shoes, socks, and a Tshirt. I shout to Feinstein that I really need to get a picture of that. For about ten seconds in time me and Feinstein look to what appeared before us and ponder if we are seeing things. Bear in mind, and I say this with love, Father Tom comes in at over 350 lbs.
I just don’t know what he was thinking but it was the funniest sight I’ve seen all week. And it’s not like Father Flowers was trying to be unobtrusive, no. He was waving to everybody who too stopped and stared with disbelieving eyes.
I didn’t get the pic because I thought it would be rude to be taking pictures of the priest in his underwear but what on earth was he thinking? He’s just conducted a mass robed in mighty vestments with tributes to Mother Theres and moments later he appears in public looking like a goofy tourist, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Well maybe you had to be there.
Meanwhile, on a Hurricane-riddled Labor Day weekend the FBI releases notes on Hillary’s interview and I am SHOCKED…..SHOCKED I tell you.
They took hammers and busted up several of Hillary’s cell phones! Hammers!

Finally, there’s Shadow, a kitten, of all things, that showed up on my front porch, what the hey?
I don’t know where she came from but just herself, a kitten, maybe 8 weeks old. So I started leaving her food because of course people I am not going to let a little kitten die for want of food, which I have plenty.
She’s all gray, as you must know from her name. I did manage to get her to come into the house and as I type she is in this house somewhere. But I got cats so there’s litter pans and a container of dry food protected from the dogs.
But I have not seen Shadow since yesterday around noon.
But hey, I have had lots of cats. For whatever reason Shadow is in my life.

One feed was used by all the media to report the Donald's appearance in Detroit. When the decision to stop recording was made all nets lost the feed. Cnn,msnbc,FNC,abc,cbs,nbc so it was a big deal to cut the feed right at the moment the Donald was being awarded huge honors by a black minister who was also quoting from the bible.
One of the camera operators is tagged saying I'm gonna record this, Ill take the demotion.Just too good.

I watched that thing yesterday with Trump at the black church.
I give him kudos and respect for doing that. Romney NEVER would have done such a thing.
Couple that with the MExican visit and you go to admire Trump’s work ethic, especially compared with Hillary, who hobnobs with the rich only and avoids questions of any kind.
Trump was treated very well in Detroit with Ben Carson doing an excellent wing man job.
Can you imagine Jeb Busy attending a mass at a black church in Detroit?
