What A Surprise, Liberal Moderators Again!

Every four years, Republican presidential candidates walk into a big trap: the debates. The supposedly non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates leans decidedly left. The co-chairs of the commission include an establishment Republican, former GOP Chairman Frank Fahrenkopf, Jr., and a former Clinton Press Secretary, Mike McCurry. Neither of these gentlemen is a conservative, and both are probably privately supporting Hillary Clinton for president.

The group’s board of directors consists of liberals like former television anchorman Charlie Gibson, and so-called moderate Republicans like former U.S. Senators Olympia Snowe and John Danforth. In fact, in an interview last December, Danforth lamented the conservative direction of the Republican Party and labeled Donald Trump “a self-proclaimed great man.” It is an outrage that the debate commission would keep on their board of directors someone who holds such anti-Trump views.

Clearly, the Commission on Presidential Debates is biased against any conservative like Trump. However, even a moderate like 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney faced unfair treatment. In the infamous encounter with moderator Candy Crowley, Romney was denied the opportunity to make a final statement, even though it was outlined in the rules. Crowley also supported President Obama in a dispute with Romney about the terrorist attack in Benghazi. Moderators are not supposed to take sides; they are supposed to be objective.

For the 2016 debates, the commission has once again chosen liberal moderators, with the exception of Chris Wallace of Fox News, who is a truly objective journalist. The liberals include Lester Holt of NBC, Anderson Cooper of CNN, and Elaine Quijano of CBS, and Martha Raddatz of ABC, who moderated a debate in 2012.

It should be noted that Republicans have long been skeptical of Raddatz since President Obama attended her wedding in 1991. Not surprisingly, she invited President Obama to her wedding. In addition, Raddatz’s husband was appointed by Obama to the FCC, so there should be no confusion about her allegiances. Her performance in the 2012 Vice Presidential debate was atrocious, as the incumbent Joe Biden was allowed to completely dominate his GOP opponent, Representative Paul Ryan, and interrupt frequently.

Elaine Quijano has used her position on CBS to advocate for illegal aliens and the threat of global warming. She claimed that this threat could cause a 10-foot increase in sea levels, which would put “much of South Florida underwater.” Since GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has been tough on the issue of illegal immigration and believes that global warming is a hoax, it is doubtful that a moderator who holds such opposing views will be fair and balanced.

Lester Holt surely leans left and his feelings were exposed after President Obama’s recent speech to the Democratic National Convention. He described it as “a powerful arc embracing hope and optimism.” Undoubtedly, Holt would never describe a Donald Trump speech in such a manner.

The other moderator, Anderson Cooper, is clearly another liberal. For years, he has advocated for gay rights and same sex marriage. For example, in the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Orlando Florida, Cooper interviewed Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. He used the opportunity to condemn her for opposing gay marriage, a view a liberal like Cooper believes is unacceptable.

With liberal moderators dominating the presidential debates, Hillary Clinton will surely have the advantage. This is no surprise to Trump, who knows the commission is biased against him. Back in July, he blasted the commission when it was announced that two of the debates were scheduled against NFL games. Trump tweeted to his followers that “As usual, Hillary and the Dems are trying to rig the debates so 2 are up against major NFL games.”

The commission claimed that the dates were set and could not be changed; however, if they wanted to avoid NFL games they could have scheduled the debates for Tuesday or Wednesday nights when there are no professional football games played. Instead, they chose to schedule at the same time, which will surely impact the audience for the debates.

Trump believes that the commission is trying to limit the viewing audience for the presidential debates as the DNC did in the primaries by scheduling debates on NFL game days. The DNC tactic was a ploy to help Hillary Clinton in her battle against Senator Bernie Sanders for the party’s nomination.

For these debates, despite the conflicts and the liberal moderators, there will be a significant viewing audience. Due to Trump’s personality and flair, there is tremendous interest in this year’s presidential race.

Hopefully, Trump will be given ample opportunities in the debates to present his ideas on how to move this country in a positive direction. The commission’s questionable scheduling and moderator selection notwithstanding, Trump should do well in these upcoming debates as long as he is treated fairly. Unfortunately, for a Republican presidential candidate, especially a maverick conservative like Donald Trump, to receive fair treatment in the presidential debates is far from guaranteed.

If he does that, he will remind the voters of the "Mygan blood moment" and be crucified. Gingrich is the only one who can pull that off the way he did with Juan Williams in the 2012 debates.

These moderators should all at least have to have party registration buttons. Trump should ask each one who they voted for in the last 3 elections

I hope the coming wikileaks emails confirms what we already know, that these liberal moderators are colluding with the Democrats by sharing the questions in advance, and planning how to work together to tag team against the Republican candidate.

Candy Crowley did it to help Obama defeat Romney in the last residential election. If you watch the exchange, one thing is VERY obvious: Crowley and Obama had planned this line of attack against Romney before the debate began. The Benghazi attack was NOT a spontaneous attack because of some video. And the Obama / Crowley attack on Romney was NOT spontaneous either. Just look at their demeanor, pacing, interaction with each other. It was SO scripted. Romney fell right into their trap. (Not to mention that Obama and Crowley LIED about Obama calling the Benghazi attack a terrorist act immediately after it happened. And CNN still lies about it to this day.)

But moderators are not supposed to pick sides. They are not supposed to give one candidate advanced knowledge of the questions while leaving the other one in the dark. And they are especially not supposed to plan a trap on behalf of the preferred candidate.

But they will be doing it again in these debates. I just hope the truth comes out, and they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

But even if they don’t get caught, no amount of spin is going to fix Hillary’s failure when she craps her pants on the national debate stage. But I will look forward to hearing the spin doctors try. “She crapped her pants because Trump is mean to women, and the vast right-wing conspiracy scared her into crapping her pants. It had nothing to do with her being finally caught as a career criminal. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.”

But Hillary should be scared. If she loses this election, she is at great risk of going to prison.

Go Trump.

To even the playing field (something the demodummies do not do), Trump should have a selction as well as the demodummies, one each. Trump should demand that it be so. Additionally, should the demodummies refuse to play fair, Trump should then be able to provide the criteria and questions if only the demodummie liberals are the moderators. (We all know that Hitlary will be given the question BEFORE the debate takes place). If the demodummies (liberals) fail to level the field, the “Art of the Deal” will be invoked and there will be NO DEBATES, PERIOD!

“lib mods will work to Trump’s advantage...”

I agree. I have full confidence in Trump. Lester Holt and Chris Wallace will be left stuttering and wetting their pants.

I’m getting a little annoyed with the nervous Nellie’s who think Trump is a wimp and will melt away like Romney.

Let’s show some courage and believe in Trump’s skill and ability.

“I would like to see John Stossel as a moderator.”

“Greta Van Sustern or Laura Ingram”

It doesn’t matter who the moderator is. The media will declare Hillary the winner. Trump has to take it to whomever.

I have full confidence that Trump is up to the challenge and the more outrageously hostile the moderator, the better for him and for us.

My suggestion would be that all the so called moderators should first be required to go on a 4 hour Jeopardy program.
Category 1: Constitution of the United States, Laws and Limitations thereof.
Category 2: International Politics & Political Leaders.
Category 3: International Boundaries, Nations & Types of Government.
Category 4: Economic Systems and How They Function.
Category 5: American Civic Literacy, (questions can be pulled from American Civic Literacy Test).
Category 6: United States History (all questions to be taken from pre 1960 history texts only).
Category 7: World History (all questions to be taken from pre 1960 world history texts only).
Category 8: Modern World History, they should all do well in this category as they can give any PC bullsh!t answer the FEEL.
Any prospective MODERATOR who scores below the 90th percentile in any of the above categories will automatically be eliminated from consideration.
LET'S JUST FIND OUT HOW WELL EDUCATED AND INTELLIGENT THESE PEOPLE REALLY ARE.

Where's the Jeopardy picture of Blitzed Wolfer down by like 1000 points. (I don't remember the exact number, but it seems “coin flips on answers” could have done better.

I ran into him in a bar in Georgetown seems like eons ago. I was with my brother and it was right after a rugby game that we had played in. We set there and made fun of him, (He is a little squirt!) Normally I am not that rude. I was young after a game, feeling feisty and it was Wolf Blitzer for Pete's Sake! That's where I got the name Blitzed Wolfer for him. We kept calling him that he kept correcting us and we kept correcting him back. Some days if it's the right person it's fun to be a jerk. He got up and left.

The GOP should insist that any debates be with no moderator whatsoever only a timekeeper chess timer to control the mikes and distribute the time equally.
There is no justification for a moderator, “positioned" as superior to the future POTUS.

Amen, baby!

This RNC/UniParty horseplay has gone on long enough.

Matt Laur, my foot.

TRUMP needs to “forum” on his own. If this is set up to be a stand alone affair, on the 7th, let TRUMP stand alone under General Webb, firing the questions.

Let Hildabeast have the Liar and Laur program to Herselfness.

Chris Wallace is a liberal. Very anti-Trump. Just because he is on FNC doesn’t mean he is a conservative.

poinq,

I think TV is used because it is a tool for the libs to showcase their “cares for you” and “feelings from the heart” by-line. For years the only thing the libs had to sell was how they care for you. And the cold heartless GOP didn’t, so you should go with who loves you. And they can obliterate the truth this way. They only care about themselves. But hearing it on radio, or pictures from the left leaning media doesn’t get the effect they need. An example of this is when Trump was on Letterman. The a$$half Letterman spent his whole segment with Trump trying to embarrass him with questions about his clothing lines. and where they were made. Letterman is a pro actor. and was using the TV to set up Trump to make him look bad with questions asked about certain things in certain ways. You can be assured the left leaning moderators in these debates will do the same thing while throwing softballs at Hilary. This is one of the ways the libs use the media and the media helps.

Also, watch the camera angles and cameras used by the libs. The size of the person in the camera lens will be changed so the liberal will be stronger appearing during some questions but softened during appealing questions. Watch the lighting in the backgrounds and how it emphasizes questions and when breaks are done to stop action by the conservative candidate that may jack up a libs answer. This has all been done before.

Head to head debates are all about showmanship for the liberals and points to get across for the conservatives. The media assists in this. You’ll see it.

However, there is a gigantic difference this time: Donald J. Trump knows of all these moderators almost on a first name basis (that's the advantage of living in New York City). As such, he knows all the moderators' quirks and biases and will answer the debate questions accordingly.
