“You my friend, are taking verses out of context.”
No, actually I supplied context to the verse you quoted.
“The clear language of Scripture shows you have to do something work out- to obtain salvation.”
I don’t see the word “obtain” in the “clear language of Scripture”, that’s your own interpretation. Paul didn’t exactly tell us what he meant by “work out”, and he isn’t here to explain, but he says in the very next verse that God is working in us to cause us to do what pleases Him, so I really don’t think these verses support your contention that God is not the one bringing us to salvation through grace. If you want some different answer from me, I think you’re going to be disappointed, no matter how many times you keep harping on the same point.
What does Paul mean when he says " Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyednot only in my presence, but now much more in my absencecontinue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling Phil 2:12
