Once they’re HERE, that’s a different matter.
I was just curious. I can’t help but wonder. It occurs to me that, say Syria, for instance, has the Russian Navy base on the Med. Is THAT what the biggest driver in their economy is? Sort of like a detective, follow the money. If the Syrian economy, like the Cuban in the 60s is built on Russian subsidy, Israel and Turkey by US subsidy, etc. perhaps the best way to deal with the region is everybody just stop sending them money. In a generation let their populations fall to levels they can actually support on their own.
