Yeah, he does suck. He’s lousy at reading defenses, and makes mental errors that cost games. He’s got an arm, but that’s it. I’m a long time Niners fan and never liked the decision to replace Alex Smith with Kaepernick. Smith was a fine QB who had lots of bad breaks and was finally living up to his potential. He was #1 rated in the league when Harbaugh kept him out after he missed a few games from an injury. IMHO that decision cost the Niners a Superbowl win and ultimately Harbaugh his job.

As for Kaepernick, maybe it’s not too late for him to switch to baseball. There must be a AA team somewhere that’s desperate for a middle reliever.

Smith is the worst QB to have ever started that many games in the history of the NFL. He singlehandedly got two coaches fired and brought the 49ers organization dowm for seven years. Worst 1st overall draft pick ever, because the organization stayed with him for so long. He is not an NFL caliber quarterback. As a 49ers fan, I could only hope every year for all those years they'd finally get rid of him.

He's a terrible quarterback, but he's a nice guy. I met him at the supermarket before. Terrible at football, but apparently good at video games.

You sound like Jed York's slave.

Kaepernick was scapegoated for Trent Baalke and York's pathetic decision. There was no offensive line and offensive coordinator.

The game Kaepernick was bench after, the ONLY running back Baalke had on the roster was injured on the first play,, and the offensive line took the game off.

If it wasn’t for Smith, the 49ers would have won Super Bowl XLVI.
