I strongly support Trump for the Presidency of the United States. That being stated, I have the following concerns.

I see that the posts above state that Cruz could stop his “Cruz Supporters” easily.

Are they necessarily “Cruz Supporters”, or are they individuals with a different set of Conservative Goals, who now are acting independently, and expressing their exasperation. Are these Conservative reacting to the vile things said about them on this forum and others, and are now in retaliation, undermining the current candidate for the Presidency, at all costs? Are they Conservatives who view Donald Trump as a Moderate or Democrat posing as a Conservative to get elected?

Ask yourself, can or could future President Trump stop his supporters from stating, or making claims for him, that might not line up with his views? Can future President Trump bring to an end the bashing of some Conservatives, or their stands for what they view as Conservative ideals? I believe in both instances the answer is no.

Individuals express their deep held views and in most cases will continue to support those views even if their candidate is not elected. I saw this among Trump supporters after primaries, then the winner was not Trump.

Hopefully those being slurred will see through all the name calling and will support Trump on election day. Unfortunately this has not been the case in past Presidential elections. The 2012 election is a prime example. There were those who would never vote for a Mormon, there were those who sat home because Romney wasn't Conservative enough.

At times it seems that the name calling and demonizing of other Republicans has one sole purpose. That is to make those Republicans so resentful that they will stay home on election day, and hence bring about a Socialist government.

Their ultimate goal is not to get those whom they demonize to vote Dem, but only to stay home and bring about the same ultimate conclusion, the election of Hillary Clinton, or if she's replace, some other Socialist leaning Democrat candidate.

Are there those who wish to see the destruction of the Republican Party and its replacement with another entity? I believe the answer to this question is yes.

The criticism started during the Bush Administration. Bush wasn't conservative enough. The critics forget that a very large number of American voters voted for Gore and Kerry.

Just think, if Gore or Kerry had been elected, how would the US have reacted to 9-11?

The American voters have voted for Obama twice, but the tearing apart and criticism of Conservative Standard Bears continued throughout the last eight years.

Criticism of Conservative Standard Bearers escalated at the end of the last midterm election. With a Republican House majority and a small Republican majority in the Senate, the anger was aimed at the Republican Establishment (GOPe), the House for not defunding, and the Senate for not forcing bills through the Senate and demanding that Obama veto the bills.

This criticism of Congress and frustration on the part of Conservative is understandable, but lately the attacks have risen to the level of outright rebellion.

Donald Trump is the Republican Nominee for President. Are there those, who would destroy the Republican Party around him, and in the process destroy any hope that once in office he can be effective.

I have came to believe that the vast majority of views are truly those of fed up Conservative, who had become impatient. But also within the group, doing the criticism, are those whose real aim is destruction of our Republic.

Unfortunately when both the Socialist Factions (the Dems) and the Ultra-Conservative Factions take aim, the casualties may include many Conservative, who would have supported President Trump, but because of the vile atmosphere, walk away and don't vote. This is also the aim of some closet Socialist, who post demagoguery .

We may end up with something we Conservatives will regret. We either end up with a Socialist dictatorship, or end up with a “Lame Duck Administration” up against a deeply divided Congress. There are times when I get a deep sinking feeling that the situation above is exactly what the Socialist want.

Unfortunately there is a very great number of socialist/Democrat Representatives, and Senators currently serving, and also unfortunately will be elected again.

This places us in a very difficult situation. We may win the battle (election of Trump), but lose the war against the step-by-step degrading of our American Republic.

Do the Freepers posting their disdain of Cruz and the other Conservative Standard Bearers really believe that once President Trump is in office, their animosity and flaming rhetoric will be instantly forgotten by those who have been flamed.

One in office, President Trump will face a hostile Senate and House, and as a result

Has Cruz told them to stop or disavowed them? Until he does he’s complicit in it. Personally I think Cruz struck a deal with them Dems while flying with cop killer one to the funeral of Texas cops. He and his Cruzlims have done nothing but attack and undermine the candidate he pledged to support.

"Conservative Standard Bearers" my ass.

A more arrogant, self righteous bunch of gargoyles cannot be found in American politics. These scrofulous miscreants should far more be concerned that WE will not forget their unforgivable perfidy.

Agreed. People need to keep in mind that half the country does not vote. That means that it takes a little over 25% of the voting population to determine the makeup of our federal government.

Unless the plan is to establish a fascist regime to force one’s political views on everyone else, persuasion is the key to winning.

The idea of retaliating for anything other than criminal actions is foolish. And it is the very thing that the Never Trump people are doing. Are we supposed to respond in like manner? Obviously not.
