Tough call. I can see it if the flag is used to taunt the other team because many of them are Hispanic. Most of them are probably US citizens, even if only by the chance of birth, so using the flag to imply they don’t belong here is wrong.
On the other hand, that is our national flag.
Bring the flag, but toss the taunters.
So can they taunt back by waving Mexican flags?
A large Hispanic population in South Carolina is of fairly recent vintage. I doubt a majority of students are US born.
On another note, I think the report of the high school name is incorrect. It should be Berea. I’ve never heard of a Berega High School in South Carolina, North Carolina or Georgia. Berea is a neighboring school district, though.
If the brown folks really were loyal American citizens, they’d respond by bringing their own American flags to the game to taunt the unreconstructed folks.
