We know they put a gun in his face and we know they demanded money. Perhaps they did demand wallets and watches, or perhaps the athletes, not speaking Portuguese, did not actually understand what was being demanded and assumed the guys with guns wanted watches and wallets.
Responsibility begins with the individual. And he wasn’t acting responsible that night.
Why do you keep trying to make this topic about Lochte, and not about how many Americans are agreeing with the Corrupt Rio Police Department and the Lying News Media?
The problem *I* am complaining about is the rush to judgement by Freepers who didn't wait for the facts to come out before condemning a man.
Now that the facts have come out, we see that the Rio police department can be proven to have lied, yet nothing other than the word of the Rio Police department establishes that Lochte lied about anything.
Since the veracity of the Rio Police department has been impeached, we have no reason to accept anything they say, especially because they have a clear motive to cover for the actions of their men.
Because it is about Lochte
If Lochte wasn’t such a drunken idiot with zero character this would not be a problem. Many athletes went to Rio and won gold, silver, bronze medals, who deserve media attention, not this fool that decides to vandalize a gas station. If they can’t understand what they were saying, how do we know what was going on? You are beyond stupid right now. A language gap and “lost in translation” is a big deal here. Who knows maybe Lochte got in that guys face and he pulled his gun, we don’t know. Just like we don’t know if watches and wallets were demanded, if it is in Portuguese and none of them speak the language how do we know they demanded them in the first place?
You debated yourself and lost in that sentence, please don’t come on here telling us what the truth is when you yourself don’t even know.
