Full Title: Pictures Have Surfaced Of The Real Damage Caused By Ryan Lochte. Photos have finally been released of the alleged damage caused by American hero Ryan Lochte and his teammates.
ESPN reporter Darren Rovell tweeted out a picture of the sign torn off the outside of the gas station in Rio. Rovell also clarified that the sign was given to the gas station for free.

My dad was th XO of the base in Subic, so he dealt with EXACTLY this type of situation a lot. He told me about them to educate me. I am glad he did.
To a man and to a woman every hate-Lochte poster has missed the point. The point being the gloating, self-righteous satisfaction and smug condemnation of the American by Americans. There is an almost gleeful attitude on the part of those who are so much Lochte’s betters. Look at each of their posts. They start out reveling in Lochte’s stupidity and “elitism.” After being confronted with the deluge of lies told by the Brazilians, they seem even happier. Lochte’s stupidity is confirmed; time once again to rejoice in his loss of contracts.
If a person defaced an already damaged, cheap poster in Camden, and a different person took a wrong turn in Newark, got sprayed with bullets and died, should we focus all our attention on the petty vandalism??
Thanks for the correction although the statement still stands. They speak Portuguese in Brazil which is not that far off from Spanish. I believe Brazilians can understand Spanish just fine. Not sure if it works the other way around.

Petty to you anton but injustice like this is not petty to me at all. I believe the punishment should fit the crime. In this case Lochte was hit with a baseball bat when he should have just been given a slap on the wrist and remind the American people or laws and culture don’t apply when in another country.
The way Lochte skedaddled out of Rio.....faster than a roach after the lights are turned on. Classless. The guys he was with were much younger. He should have stayed, admitted what he did & been a big enough man to face the consequences & take the heat off the young guys. He is the arrogant jerk from every “guy” flick.
He has only himself to blame for his reputation & earning g potential diving down to zero. The guy is 32!!!!!!!!!!!! Not his first dance by any means.

First Lochte’s stupid for not knowing what a corrupt hellhole Brazil is, then he’s beneath contempt for getting out, once he found out.
First you acknowledge Brazil is corrupt to the core, then you want Lochte to entrust himself to the tender mercies of a stinkingly, brazenly, disgustingly corrupt system.

The USA Today story quotes Brazilian eyewitnesses saying the one of the security guards/cops pointed a gun at the swimmers. The other swimmers have also said they had a gun pointed at them, so it was Lochte as you claim.
This entire thing was blown way out of proportion. Lochte lost out on endorsement contracts and was made to look a lot worse than what he was for what he did. Sure it was a dumb drunk thing to do. Any guy who has been out drinking "with the guys" knows how easy it is to fall into doing stupid stuff.
It's just all out of whack. The punishment is way harsher than what the minor crime would demand even in that 3rd world pit.
FWIW; I too was a military kid. We lived half my childhood overseas in a bunch of different countries then I went into the Navy and traveled some more. Been drunk a bunch of times in other countries. One just needs to always be aware of where they are and act accordingly even if you get the short straw sometimes.
