EVERY Donation counts and every Donation is truly and greatly appreciated.
The other day when our FReepathon thread had dropped out of Breaking News, I just threw together the impressive exchange between Mears and Jim in the hope of garnering more New Monthly Donors.
I figured once FReepers were made aware of the factual importance of Donating Monthly, that several would give it serious thought and consideration.
Thankfully, for once, I was right...lol. IIRC, we had 32 NMD at that time and now we're looking for NMD #58! Additionally, several, (over 10 and maybe up to 20) have renewed and at an increased amount!
Let's all hope and pray that this new batch of Monthly Donors will all be reliable.. I look back at our NMD Campaigns and we average 60-70 New Monthly Donors each FReepathon, but we have to be losing Monthly Donors along the way, or else the Monthly Donor total would be way up there.
I think Credit Cards expire and perhaps Monthly Donors forget to renew their Monthly Donation ... thinking it just transfers to the new credit card? I seriously doubt that active members just up and cancel.
I wish I knew the answers because 2 Month-Long FReepathons have and *are* taking their toll. Aside from from member irritation of seemingly never-ending FReepathons, Jim's Team has dwindled to a loyal few and all of us are quickly wearing out and growing weary. I mean, we want to be just FReepers for a little longer than 30 days. Then, there's Jim himself! How utterly unfair to put that great man through 2-months of fundraising which requires his presence at the computer up to 18 hours daily. I think that bothers me most of all!
Wow, I have vented, haven't I? LOL. I ought to remove Mears and Jim's name from the TO:, but that would go against FR courtesy and we're always very courteous!
BTW, just so you and everyone here on this thread reading this will know: Even though I'm too tired and usually too consumed during our FReepathons to participate here with y'all, I READ ALL YOUR COMMENTS daily and nightly!!
I watch TRUMP rallies whenever I can and now that I have OAN, I see several I would have otherwise missed!!
OH, and I bought his autographed book for fundraising - was it $189? Something like that. It's been delivered to my house in Mississippi.
After our FReepathon concludes, I'm going to see what I can do for Donald Trump here in San Diego. I've already signed-up to "Poll Watch" but I'm going to personally write to Trump's NY campaign, to see about working at Trump Headquarters here, if there is one.
