From some of the pictures I’ve seen of Pence’s events, he gets crowds at least as big as Clinton’s, and in some cases, bigger crowds.
Mike Pence definitely chose the wrong place to give a stump speech. Trump's VP nominee railed against Hillary Clinton in northern Virginia Saturday afternoon -- but he chose to do it at an evangelical Christian college with a history of anti-Trump sentiment. Students protested outside, while inside students stood in silent protest until they were ejected mid-speech. >>
Ok, this is simply ridiculous. It's true that the founder of Patrick Henry College and current Chancellor, Michael Farris (HSLDF) was a devout Cruz supporter and early #neverTrump. The fact that he allowed his pride and joy to be a platform for the Trump-Pence campaign on Saturday was a HUUUGE demonstration of unity.
Mike Pence is well-known in metropolitan DC as a Christian leader and was active in Capital Hill Bible studies when he was in DC as a Congressman. It made perfect sense for him to be speak at a Christian college in a swing county in a swing state.
