I don’t understand. Help. Florida had a primary election in March — what is this Aug 30 “primary election” for?

It’s the primary run off election for the Florida senate seat that Rubio is running for even though he said he wouldn’t.
He has a competitor.

The March Primary was the Republican Primary in which Trump won the state of Florida. The Aug 30th Primary is for Senator, various members of state and local positions including sheriff, etc.

The presidential primary was in March. This is the “regular” primary, for everything else.
