Would be even better if Laura was one of the moderators.

Would be even better if Laura was one of the moderators.

At first, I was going to ask who the moderators were going to be. Then I did my own research and realized that there was no news on any selection (should be announced after Labor Day.) What scares me is the past history where the moderator(s) inserted themselves into the story. Who can forget CNN's Candy Crowley's Oops moment?

However this paragraph from CNN, themselves, gives me heartburn about the current selection process. FYI: The article made NO MENTION of the above error in the 2012 Obama-Romney debate. Strange, no?

"Here, the Commission is handicapped by the absence of Jim Lehrer and Bob Schieffer, two elder statesmen of political journalism whom the Commission frequently relied upon to serve as moderators. Both men retired from moderating debates after the 2012 cycle and joined the Commission's board of directors, though Schieffer it left earlier this year in order to return to CBS News as an occasional contributor."

The Commission on Presidential Debates is OFFICIALLY bipartisan but with most directors being DC insiders for considerable years, it smells of Uniparty to me.
