Dude I’m talking about Frisco BEFORE there was a Hollywood! Sadly the attitude continues long after LA was given the dirisive nickname “Double Dubuque” because of all the people from Iowa moving out west. I don’t even live in LA County, but I’ve experienced the snarkiness myself.

I’ve never understood why people from the Bay Ara obsess about Southern California so much. Most of us down here don’t give anything north of Santa Barbara a passing thought positive or negative, other than as nice places to visit. It’s really a sad state of affairs, but I guess it hurts when the feeling of superiority is met with an apathetic response.

As for the ungrateful football player in question, I hope he enjoys the 49ers continued position outside the Super Bowl looking in. Because the glory days, just like for San Francisco, are long gone.

I wasn’t around in days of Hollywood or Frisco of which
you speak. Were you? I don’t even live close to SF or
the Bay Area and I see California’s political problems
emanating from the the coastal regions more than anywhere.

I did attend college on the central coast and experienced
the snarkiness of LA sports fans who although living in
a neutral area, assumed everyone was an LA sports fan.
LA arrogance gave birth to the hate LA attitude. It was
earned.

The Niners may be washed up and maybe for a long time.
But I will cast my lot with a “has been” before the
LA “never was”.
