Republican Maine Gov. Paul LePage left an expletive-filled voicemail for a state lawmaker who called his recent comments about drug dealers racist, the Portland Press Herald reports.

LePage called the lawmaker a “socialist ****ucker” and later said he would like to have an armed duel.

“Mr. Gattine, this is Gov. Paul Richard LePage,” the governor said on a voicemail to Democratic State Rep. Drew Gattine. “I would like to talk to you about your comments about my being a racist, you ****sucker. I want to talk to you. I want you to prove that I’m a racist. I’ve spent my life helping black people and you little son-of-a-*****, socialist ****sucker, you — I need you to, just friggin’ — I want you to record this and make it public because I am after you. Thank you.”

LePage then let local media know that he had left a voicemail and invited them to his house to speak with him.

There the governor said: “When a snot-nosed little guy from Westbrook calls me a racist, now I’d like him to come up here because, tell you right now, I wish it were 1825. And we would have a duel, that’s how angry I am, and I would not put my gun in the air, I guarantee you, I would not be [Alexander] Hamilton. I would point it right between his eyes, because he is a snot-nosed little runt and he has not done a damn thing since he’s been in this Legislature to help move the state forward.”

One of his biggest accomplishments - with the libs fighting him all the way - was getting thousand off welfare...

Aside: LaPage had a very bad abusive childhood with a violent, alcoholic father - and was out on the streets at age ELEVEN! He got thru’ high school and college - started working on the ground floor at Mardens, Maine’s largest job-lot dept store - and worked his way up to managing them.

Later, he got into politics, ran for mayor in Waterville - an overwhelmingly demRat town - and WON - and won reelection. Then he ran for Gov - and things have changed in Maine - back towards what it used to be - except for Portland - which is too close to Mass...and has a lot of those flatlanders that moved up/.

We LOVE LaPage - and will work to see he ousts that lily=livered Angus King - who just worked with O’Bummer to sign over a large swath of our land to the Federal gov’t....

He got thousands off the welfare rolls....

Going around falsely calling someone racist should be considered defamation. You would think anyway.

Really? Very Christ-like response from the governor, no? Maybe fire in the belly with a better command of the language and a more useful plan for dealing with unfounded accusations of racism would have been in order.

No question you’re right about that.

Still, it’s high time we see someone willing, even eager, to call these leftists to the mat.

If we want to return the USA to be the land of the free; the home of the brave, that sort of temperament is absolutely required.

Maybe LePage will be available when Trump finishes his 8 years in office?

Maybe the Governor can give the weasel state congressman a good caning once the new legislation session begins.
