Just after the conventions, they even tried this tactic:

They fear something devastating might happen during one of the debates — a coughing fit, a seizure, a collapse or such. That would likely end her candidacy.

Under certain guidelines, Trump should go ahead and debate Jill Stein. Jill will take votes from Hillary. It will get her free publicity and draw some of that Bernie or bust crowd.
