Actually, Nate Silver’s fivethreeeight site lists Minnesota as more winnable than Virginia and Wisconsin. (Silver’s a lib, but he’s pretty honest with his numbers)

I care. Living in Minnesota, I have the rare experience of always voting for the presidential candidate who loses the election. I don’t want to tar my reputation.

Actually, I think MN went for Nixon n 1972 - so I do have one blemish on my record.

The electoral college is, of course, the most important thing, but the popular vote isn’t irrelevant. I think if Trump wins the electoral college but loses the popular vote, we are going to see some rioting from the leftists, and they will be questioning his legitimacy for his whole time in office. So, yes, Trump needs to get the votes of his MN supporters counted.

Beyond that, it’s not right to disenfranchise anyone. The people of MN should have the right to vote for the Republican nominee—but I’m sure they’ll get this worked out before the deadline.
