Yes, you saw military professionals who acted under the Rules of Engagement they were given. They could do no other.

If you wish to find fault, look to the politicians that set those Rules of Engagement. If you have any direct evidence that our sailors acted other than professionally I would be interested to see it. Otherwise, I think you should give them the benefit of the doubt.

Do the rules of engagement include crying like a child on Iranian television?

Do they include forcing female sailors to wear that humiliating head scarf? What about blathering to their captors, TV reporters and apologizing?

In fact, the officer in charge did not adhere to the Rules of Engagement as the man’s career recently came to an end.
