I’m glad you became aware of the “optics” of your misdirected humor. Knowing personally how deadly these midwest tornadoes can be, I wasn’t amused...nor were the “Starbucks/ trailer” implications lost on me.
I’m a little bit crazy. Emotionally, I sometimes see historical events as if they were just happening today, and sometimes I see things happening right now through the eyes of an historian.
My perception of the world I live in today is kinda like that of the Bruce Willis character while visiting the past in “12 Monkeys”. It’s as though I am visiting a past that was.
It really causes me to appreciate everything around me.
