“I really do not understand why people still think this is a free country.”
There don’t seem to be many left who actually believe that or at least I’m not meeting them daily but less than ten years ago all I had to do was suggest on FR that this is NOT a free country and I was attacked from all directions as if it were a crime to recognize what is going on.
Today, people’s idea of freedom is, “Hey, I can act as irresponsibly as I want, laze around as much as I want, remain as ignorant as I want, not give a farthing’s worth of beans as much as I want...and nobody bothers me. I still got my stuff. I’m still collecting this/getting that. I’m free to live this way without any consequence...and no one can tell me I can’t.”
