Appearing on Foxs OReilly Factor, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump didnt get the deferential treatment he has come to expect when he makes his almost nightly visit to Sean Hannitys show, as host Bill OReilly tried to rein him Monday night when he started talking about policing policies.
Discussing crime rates in Chicago a favorite of target for conservatives Trump went on to say that he thinks cops are handling suspects with kid gloves and that they need to be able to clamp down on suspects.
I know police in Chicago, Trump began. If they were given the authority to do it, they would get it done.
How? OReilly asked.
How? By being very much tougher than they are right now, Trump asserted. Theyre right now not tough. I could tell you this very long and quite boring story, but when I was in Chicago, I got to meet a couple of very top police. I said, How do you stop this?'
According to Trump, one of his unnamed top Chicago cops told him, Mr. Trump, Id be able to stop it in one week, with Trump saying the cops want to use undefined tough police tactics.
OReilly jumped in by telling Trump, You need a warrant to arrest people. You cant beat them up ! You have to have a warrant to arrest them! You have to only to be cut off by Trump who wasnt interested in going into details.
All I know is this, Trump blustered. I went to a top police officer in Chicago, who is not the police chief, and I could see by the way he was dealing with his people, he was a rough, tough guy, they respected him greatly.
Trump then repeated the same story over again about tough tactics, only to have OReilly ask: But he didnt tell exactly precisely how?
No, Trump replied as if the case was closed. Because Im not the mayor of Chicago.
Yeah. Like Bill has to talk the loudest and the most. He’s agenda-driven just the rest of the drive-bys.
I never understood why anyone watched him in the first place.
Who isn’t?
The question we should be asking is not “who is agenda-free” but “whose agenda is the most sensible.”
I have no doubt BOR is for Trump. It’s just that BOR misses the point oftentimes because he seems so full of his own stuff I guess. Not unusual really. We’re all sort of like that. Maybe it’s his calling his show the “No Spin Zone” - the idea that, others get it wrong but not BOR. Too full of himself I think. And yet, there is a side to him that’s able to laugh and even laugh at himself sometimes, which is nice. Hannity is kind of the same way except Hannity seems to get some of this stuff better than O’Reilly.
Seemed pretty relevant and explanatory about this police thing, not because of BOR of course, but because of Trump as far as what he has in mind to turn this police thing around.
I call Fox’s “fair and balanced”, “dumb and dumber”. Barf. They tell the truth (sometimes) and then get the Lying Left on there to “balance” the truth. Dumb and dumber.
Trump is amazingly patient. You wouldn’t think so. I would have thought Trump would be impatient with difficult people. But this is a great plus for Trump. He’s patient and yet holds his ground very well and attacks when needed. God bless him.

There are several ways to try to get more policing.
One is to make existing police “meaner.”
Another is to add to the corps of existing police.
A third way, which I’d like to see advocated, is to grow the militia into “the private sector.”
Good one. Wow, for a minute I thought I was back in the Twilight Zone with Rod Serling. :)
We’re really not out of it.
The militia has become etiolated and almost perished.
I’d like to see more places, instead of no-guns signs on their door, show “militia prepared” signs.
We followed leftist/”liberal” ideas and farmed out all our militia needs to Andy Griffith and Barney Fife. Then when the inevitable results of doing this bore their inevitable fruit, we then hated the people and even the things that were left of the militia.
Obama wants to impose Rules Of Engagement on the Police
To me, the militia is simply armed citizenry that may be mustered, I think at the state level, at any time.
But if it cannot act itself for lawful ends and lawful purposes, we have surrendered its best use.
It does not need to go hunting for malefactors, it only needs to be ready in case it encounters them.
Tough = Upholding the Law. The Police seem to have forgotten how to do that the other day at the Trump Fundraiser.
Trump Supporters were attacked by the DNC Mob and NO Arrests.
Hmmmmmm...
Bill was road testing Trump...it was all good
Rawstory is a liberal rag site. The message I get when I try to post there is “We are unable to post your comment because you have been banned by Raw Story. Find out more.”
Banned over factual posts I made that were derogatory to Bill Clinton.
No that was ABC sorry. I was banned on raw story for pointing them to a link that said Obama may have narcissism. Exact banned post said
“Sam Vaknin, the worlds leading expert on narcissism and the author of Malignant Self Love , has said that Obamas language, posture, and demeanor and the testimonies of his closest, dearest and nearest suggest that Obama is a narcissist or he may have Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
after 36 replies they pulled the post and banned me. That is how the liberal press works.
BOR could have really put him on the spot on a variety of other critical issues. I think he was playing to the audience - to make it seem like he was not cutting Trump any slack. Trump knew that too.
Armed citizenry. We won’t let the government take away our God-given rights. Period. Give us liberty or we fight for it even to the point of bullets and bayonets.
