2. Situational awareness - know where you are, time of day, and others around.
3. Always shoot the most aggressive individual(s) first. Generally after the first shot the rest of the cowards will run.

I wouldn’t yell that ... a prosecutor trying to look good in front of the media, regardless of the evidence, could try and have you arrested for manslaughter or murder even if you were shooting in self defense. They would claim that such a quip indicates that you’re trigger happy or some other nonsense.

You simply defend yourself and behave as professionally as possible.
