You’ve put your finger on my biggest problem with no-fault divorce law. People who commit horrible transgressions not only don’t pay a penalty for them, financially they sometimes are rewarded.

If we want to support the institution of marriage in this county we’ve got to start holding people to account.

It really is a result of the feminists hijacking the ABA and the family courts in the 70s. They, backed by the Communist Party USA, decided that the fabric of the family had to be attacked first to throw the country into chaos.

I have worked very few cases where I have represented a man and thought, geez, this guy is cold blooded to his wife and family (a few, but not many).

On the other hand, when I was younger, I could easily be fooled by some sweet young lady telling me how horrible things were and that she wanted out. Only to later learn that she had been caught screwing around three times and ran up 125K in consumer debt behind his back. After I gave to the case to another colleague, I learned that she got the house, the kids, half of assets, and a nice alimony check that funded her bar hopping and sexual escapades for almost four years.

Doesn’t that make you proud to be an Amerikan?
