SOCK!!!!
You survived the Trump/Hannity town hall! It was GLORIOUS...on TV. I’ve been wondering and thinking about you, the whole night.
What was your take on the entire event???
What did the audience react to, the most?
Did you stop and get Mexican food, before you made the trek back home?
What surprised me the most was when Trump asked the audience if they would be for deportation of people who had been here illegally for twenty years, but worked hard, never arrested, raised families, or would people want a way for them to stay..
Only one guy yelled out deport them.
Crowd was loud, and rowdy. Foxnews/Hannity has the town hall format as down to flow seamlessly.
Was funny when first hour was over Trump left, then the second hour, for Wednesday night show, he was welcomed like he hadn’t just been sitting there the previous hour.
When there were disrupters, maybe 6 different times, the updated till they were booted, then had a “retake/do over”.
More police than protestors. Horse Patrol had some great looking horses. The horses went to a nearby park for “lunch” eating the grass under shade from trees.
Protestors blocked off street north of town hall, maybe where fundraiser was being held.
Lot of Latinas for Trump. Was in line with two ladies from San Antonio who were attending Town Hall, and The Rally.
No Mexican Food for me..Ice cream at DQ in Johnson City.
Traffic and street closures in Austin..took 50 Minutes just to cross the River to head south..
Summary: huge support for Trump cutting across ethnic, economic, and age. Oldsters in Wheelchairs, Tons of Young people, lots of Hispanics.
Protestors were the usual. Only 27 protestors when we went in.
People were mostly ignoring them.
