Honestly, the bottle opener works great. One of the basic ones that has a pointed end on one end and a rounded end on the other end. Stick the rounded end under the lid and pull up or slightly twist a little and you’ll hear a release sound and presto the jar opens easily
BTW - I enjoy all of your posts and was happy that you and your wife made it to the rally in CT.
