I would also like it very well if school zones could be only enforced when children are actually present, as they used to be.
That’s a REAL irritating one for me, but I’ve discovered the reason for it: I go through several school zones on my way to work. Even when there are lots of kids around, they are all inside cars being dropped off. In one case, it is a high school a couple hundred yards off the road. But since there are a lot of “fresh” drivers turning left into the street, it is a “school zone”.
the really annoying ones are in Seattle area, where they have traffic cams that write speeding tickets. Those are criminal, in my mind.
