Trump gets personal in 'Morning Joe' attacks

Donald Trump

DONALD TRUMP on Monday escalated his feud with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” by attacking co-host Mika Brzezinski’s intelligence.

"Some day, when things calm down, I'll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!"

Trump implied a romantic relationship between Brzezinski and fellow co-host Joe Scarborough in tweets marking the latest shots fired in the GOP White House nominee's war on the media.

The comments came the same morning Scarborough and Brzezinski mocked a recent speech from Trump in Fredericksburg, Va., which they found rambling.

"He belted like, honestly ... like he's had a lot to drink," Brzezinski said.

Scarborough responded to Trump's attacks on Twitter, advising him to focus on the general election: @HillaryClinton is targeting key swing states today while Trump starts his day obsessed with cable news hosts while channeling Gawker. SAD!

Trump has repeatedly criticized “Morning Joe” for its coverage of his presidential campaign. Earlier this month, he called Scarborough “sad and irrelevant,” citing the show's “low ratings” as evidence.

And Scarborough earlier this month urged Republicans to remove Trump as their party’s presidential nominee

“Trump implied a Romantic relationship”

Are you kidding! Those two have been carrying on for awhile. She finally got a quick divorce. I read the two of them have an apt together and just went on vacay together.

Anger is going to decide this election.
If there's enough of it out there, it'll be a DJ landslide.

This time, the fraud of elections past won't be enough.
And by overdoing it, the fraudsters will run the very real risk of inciting a violent blowback.

ps: there's WAY more than enough of it out there.

The media will dry up and die if we just ignore them. They are like spoiled children. Best to just ignore them.

Haahha!

Oh, I’m voting for him, alright, but I don’t have to like him all the time:)

Anyone who isn’t angry at the state of the union, is an idiot.

Go, Trump, go!!!

Yes, actually, you do have to like him all the time. Your pansy-like, nervous nellie behavior upsets the rest of the nervous types here on FR. Personally, I’m sick of the nervous nellies. Are you all former Cruz supporters?

I can’t stand Ted Cruz. I didn’t support any of them.

Normally, I keep my thoughts about Trump to myself on FR, and this is why. There was a time when a freeper could be critical of a politician on the right for a particular stand, or policy. After last week I was excited about Trump, so seeing him revert just ticked me off and I vented. No biggie. The problem isn’t me making nervous nellies nervous- it’s the candidate.

I have great confidence in Kellyanne Conway- I expect she will serve her new boss wisely and well.

I agree with your take. I’ll admit that I had to look up PIAPS though. Lol.

Oh, boo-hoo-hoo. So you want a good-taste candidate who will swallow any sh*t sandwich the media serves up to him.

Well, it’s different now. He’s not going to lay down and take it. And if Kellyann, who I like, was behind that dopey apology - a la Manafort - Trump needs to take a second look at her NOW. She’s an excellent pollster, so he should keep a tight rein on her.

Go, Trump, go!

“How ironic with your username that you would advise Trump to ignore the media. How did that work out for Sarah?”

WTF? So things didn’t work out for Sarah because she ignored the media?

That’s wrong on so many levels. First, what didn’t “work out” for us in 2008 was McCain, not Palin. If you blame Sarah for his loss you are giving yourself away. Second, when Sarah faced relentless and entirely undeserved bullying and mocking from the leftist media and celebrity crowd, it was McCain’s failure to have her back that sunk him. His utter lack of chivalry was the last straw for true conservatives that were holding their noses to support him only because she was on the ticket.

So yes. If McCain had ignored the media and supported Sarah, and called out Obama for his utter lack of experience, his anti American and radical leftist ties, instead of folding like a cheap tent, things might have worked out better for him, for Sarah and for us.

Here’s a thought- what if the advice Conway gives him gets him more votes?

We need all of them to defeat the horror that is Hillary Clinton. We need the pearl-clutchers, the “concerned”...all of them.

We do need them. But pearl-clutchers are cowards and may very well remain in their homes because voting after dark is...scary!

I think the poster was saying that the campaign - not Sarah Palin, personally - ignored the press and stopped her from battling back. Sarah could only respond as far as the campaign would allow her. And they hated her from the very beginning - those two evil losers, Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace.

Off point, Sarah was the most talented politician I’ve seen post Reagan. She had the media instincts of Princess Diana - a media genius. Palin also had a down-home quality that was massively appealing to not only the middle of the country but to this city girl!

Whatever your rant has to do with what I said I don’t have any idea but if you’re telling me that McCain and Sarah fought back against the media you’re the fool. They let the media define Sarah and yhey defined her exactly as some people know her today. I like Sarah Palin but the fact is under McCain’s guidance she and McCain both did not fight back against the media.

Well, I’m certainly not saying McCain fought back, I’m saying the opposite. Sarah fought back but McCain didn’t have her back and neither did his campaign. When the SNL idiots, Bill Mahr and pundits invented this meme of her being stupid, McCain could have put a stop to it, but instead he acted ashamed of her, and let his campaign spokespeople throw her under the bus. When rumors of dumping her from the ticket were leaked and went unrefuted, the media smelled blood in the water, and went in for the kill.

Trump would never do such a thing. If Pence ever came under that kind of fire, the media would be all “if Trump knows what’s good for him he’ll dump Pence, or distance himself or apologize for him”, but Trump would ignore them, and that’s exactly my point.

Listening to the media is the very last thing Trump should do - McCain listened to them regarding Palin - how did that work out for him?

I guess I was not clear and there is some misunderstanding regarding what I meant by ignoring the press.

I guess there are two kinds of “ignoring”. The one I meant is when the media starts trolling about how Trump has to be more presidential, how his “tone” may have worked in the primary with uneducated white males, but now blah blah blah. This is concern trolling and is what I’m saying should be ignored.

I guess another kind of “ignoring” would be letting the leftist media push a narrative and not fighting back against it. That kind of ignoring is NOT what I meant.

Sorry everyone for being unclear.
