A new poll suggests there is at least one fellow Republican who could unseat U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz in 2018: Rick Perry.
The former Texas governor would beat Cruz by 9 percentage points, according to the forthcoming survey from the Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling. Set to be released later today, the poll found Perry would get 46 percent of the vote and Cruz 37 percent, with 18 percent saying they are not sure whom they would support
In general, the poll shows Texas Republicans want Cruz to be their candidate for Senate again in 2018 but not overwhelmingly. Fifty percent said they would like Cruz to be the nominee, while 43 percent said would like someone else to carry the banner.

Cruz has done a Hillary on himself, stepped all over his own dick and got caught at it.
He can’t deny it because it’s true. That’s his father in the picture with Lee Harvey Oswald. And he sure as heck doesn’t want the story to go beyond that. I think it’s because there’s more to it than just coincidentally being in a picture with LHO.
Wow Cruz once was the rising conservative leading the way with his boldness. Then, like he has to so many others, Trump exposed the fraud.
Well that story did bring attention upon his dad who was then a Castro sympathizer. I dont hold it against Rafael, Sr. now though— that was many decades ago and his being a pastor I cant imagine he still sings the praises of Fidel.
If you read deep into the JFK assassination, you’ll find that New Orleans and not Miami was essentially the headquarters for the Cuban government in exile.
Remember on the Nixon tapes when E. Howard Hunt was mentioned and Nixon said something to the degree of: Good lord not him, that will open up the whole Bay of Pigs thing again. Look into E. Howard Hunt and his connections to New Orleans and Cuban exiles...
It was a tactic - many of us trusted Carly more.. Guess he wanted to use that. That’s not my problem with him - the guy’s two faced. That’s my problem - he’s not trustworthy.
Ted Cruz is a Bush insider and was doing their bidding by trying to derail the Trump train. I used to have great respect for him but no more.
True, but this whole notion that his dad was tortured and brutalized by Castro was made up BS to circle jerk the Cubans and Americans who think we are still in a Cold War with Communism and Soviet imperial ambitions. It is unethical and highly misleading.
Dumb and Dumber.
I was working in the House for a Texas member at the time of his election and we all knew day one that he was an ego manic who was running from President and the Senate gig was just his jumping board to get there.
Sadly enough, my boss mentioned that he was born in Canada in 2010 and that he can’t be prez. Everyone laughed it off, but he was right.
Trump smoked out a LOT of frauds, including Cruz.
He can always get a job with Glenn Beck at the Blaze.
I really hoped that some ambitious “journalist” would have picked up and run with that story about Rafael Cruz. I don’t think its gonna take much to get to the bottom of that. But it seems everyone has been scared off. Unless Wayne Madsen is still working on it secretly.
I live in Tx— a year ago I would have said no way I choose Perry over Cruz for Senate. Now its been reversed and Perry would do right by Texas and the nation. Still I’m sad to see the self-inflicted downfall of Cruz.
My theory is that Daddy Cruz is linked directly to Papa Bush in that time era, and those links are not to be uncovered.
Hence, the plug was pulled.
The upshot to the entire Trump presidency, even if he doesn’t win, is that Trump has redrawn the battle lines that were blurred before. We now know that there is a monolithic movement in our government of one-worlders who match to the same sheet of music. Besides a handful of patriots, most are traitors who worship the god of globalism and money.
We have always known that the Dems are out for themselves and their party, but we know clearly see that the Repubs are in bed with them. Anyone who gives a wheat penny to the RNC or state parties after this election is a cuckold who likes to the abused.
Ted’s become the crazy ex-girlfriend of TX.
That incident reminded me a bit of Reagan in 1976,when before the GOP convention, he announced that Richard Schweiker would be his running mate.
Just saying the history of naming a running mate early, trying to shake up the race, doesn’t work; such candidates don’t get the nomination anyway.
