The full court meme is that Trump's "What do you have to lose" line, is going to work against him. That tells me that this is an effective line. It took the press about a full day to come up with the meme to respond to the sales pitch, "what do you have to lose?"

It's hard to imagine a much worse pitch Donald Trump could have made for the black vote - WaPo

There are any number of reasons that black Americans might view Trump unfavorably, starting with his 2011 effort to cast suspicion on Obama's place of birth. Or, probably, starting with his full-page ad calling for the death penalty against five black teenagers in New York City who were accused of rape -- wrongly, as it turned out. Or perhaps thanks to the support his current candidacy is getting from people like former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke.

Democrats fret over timing of Clintons' charity fete - Politico

The supposed fretting is that the Clinton Foundation is having a meeting a week before the first debate, and the Clinton Foundation will thereby be in the news. The article is very predictable, essentially citing "optics" and the ability of Trump to play off that. But what caught my eye was this ...

While GOP nominee Mitt Romney addressed the conference four years ago, this year, Republicans are using charges of cronyism and favorable access for Clinton Foundation donors as a key line of attack against the Democratic nominee.

The corollary this year would be Trump attending the Foundation annual meeting. Ponder that contrast! (between Romney and Trump) I bet designated GOP nominee/loser Jeb Bush would attend.
