The American Bar Association agrees with you. The people behind the Convention of the States movement disagree.

The constitution is entirely silent on who can be a representative of the states to a convention of the states. The states make the rules on that. Check Amendment 10.

The people behind the COS movement believe that Article II Section 6 applies, not the 10th Amendment. You can take it up with them. Check their website.
