I have two. And each time...when they were born it was...instant love.
It would be a very hard thing indeed for me to abandon one of them for ANY reason. Very hard.
See what I mean? There is something wondrous about this strong, instant bonding that many parents feel. It is a two sided coin of great value. If the child has a sense of charity and respect, they won’t take undue advantage of that love. Your children are fortunate you are their parent.

It would be very hard and depend on the age,of course,but I could tell an 18 year old child to find other living quarters if that child’s conduct was totally disruptive to the rest of the family——and other measures didn’t work.
I would give him/her a hand to get started,if that would be best for all concerned.
