In Illinois, the Democrats are fit to be tied because the Republican Governor (Bruce Rauner) vetoed a similar bill for the same reasons — it lacked provisions to deter vote fraud.
In Florida, I went to get a driver’s license after leaving Maryland and they registered me right then. They asked me what party and then registered me. Not sure if this is the same thing that New Jersey turned down. How would you register if not at the DMV? On-line?
