The Los Angeles Times/USC Dornsife national tracking poll of the presidential campaign picked up a sharp uptick in African-American support for Republican nominee Donald J. Trump, which it now pegs at 14.6 percent.
When the “Daybreak” poll began July 10, Trump‘s support among black voters was 4.6 percent and he fluctuated between 5.4 percent Aug. 1 and 2.5 percent Aug. 11.
The upswing in support for Trump–more than 500 percent above his low less than a week previous–comes after the New York City developer’s address Tuesday in the Milwaukee suburb of West Bend, Wisconsin. In that speech, Trump made his most direct play for African-American support in the campaign

All that Trump needs to say to the blacks in America is: “The majority of black Americans that live in major metropolitan areas have lived in states and cities that have been controlled by Democrats for over a half a century, what have the Democrats done that has to improved your lives and your community? I promis a new deal, a fair deal, that improves your life and allows you to hold your heads high!”
The Demonrats are nothing but Poverty Pimps and grifters.

It imagine that most blacks want to have jobs, and live in safe neighbourhoods; just like everyone else. The Dems are pandering to the BLM thugocracy — maybe blacks are finally seeing the harm that does to their communities.
I have always thought Trump would do very well with blacks.
Many blacks have rather kick-ass attitudes and wish to better themselves through jobs. They will not be fooled by the Democrats’ constant attempts at infantilization and manipulation of their race.

Right now in NC (on Fox) he is disciplined and on TelePrompTer again, appealing strongly to inner city and low income parents whose kids have been let down by failing schools and Dim policies, hope they are listening.

me neither. Trump gave a masterful speech regarding inner cities problems and the problems of those who live in them and why the Dems are at fault and making things worse. Unlike, Crooked Hillary, Trump wasn’t pandering either: he was simply telling the truth.

Although he should speak less about crime and more about Democratic policies in general since the federal government doesn’t have ANY delegated authority for the police power or fighting inner city crime within cities or states as far as I am aware.

That feels like 84. The Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama cancer that has been in America for the last 30 years is going to be cut out.
The question is why. Why has no previous GOP candidate made this overt appeal to the black voter? As Trump observed, most blacks share the same hopes and fears that everyone else has. Apparently the rest of the gop has been operating on the racist assumption that the black vote is a lost cause. It may have been true re: Obama but then, in 2004 blacks gave Ohio and the presidency to Bush. You would think the stupid party would see that, and not have to be stupid all the time.
I’m a little skeptical of a 500% rise based on one speech that didn’t receive much coverage, but I do think that he should really try to find ways to pound the message he delivered during his speech: look around at who’s responsible for the conditions in which you find yourselves!!! Don’t you want something better?
