I knew an engineer who would answer questions that you asked him. And only what you asked him.
Most people try to divine what it is you are trying to find out, and adjust their answer to try to give you what you need.
This guy, he got his boss so angry that he would blurt out in frustration “For Christ’s sake, will you give them the answer you know they are trying to obtain???”
Asking him questions was like encountering a troll at a bridge who wouldn’t let you pass until you asked it exactly the right way.
“I knew an engineer who would answer questions that you asked him. And only what you asked him.”
Very passive/aggressive. A psychologist told me he would not accept any client who was passive/aggressive because there was no way to treat it. As this man’s boss, I’d be looking for a way to fire him.
“Asking him questions was like encountering a troll at a bridge who wouldnt let you pass until you asked it exactly the right way.”
I’m curious how it is that you don’t know any women?

I worked with an engineer like that as well. Then I also worked for an engineer who could not give you a straight answer if it saved his life. “Too many possible options, and we need to wait on others input before deciding...” That was the worst.
