Holy (fill in the blank). Is civilization falling apart in Venezuela??? Desperate people find themselves doing desperate things? Socialism has failed badly there. Will our liberals in America see any connections between socialism and how that country has fallen apart?
You know better than that. Socialism believers are a cult. There is ample evidence throughout history that Socialism achieves horrors, starvation and death, but these people are utopian dreamers who reject real world evidence.
At least until it happens to them personally.
I’ve read that one can be arrested for FISHING. Not catching anything, just casting a line. There are some YouTube videos of (sailing) cruisers in the area who are reporting the same saying that provisions are incredibly scarce and muggings are common.
Do you wonder why the situation in Venezuela is not the lead story on every major newscast? Or why it is not on the front page of every large newspaper in America? Of course not: to report it would be to admit that socialism leads to poverty for most people. The socialist does not anticipate being one of most people. He expects to be in charge. Plenty of food for those in charge.
