Did you watch the whole speech or are you just relying on the media spin? I did not get the sense that Trump was backing down on political correctness at all. So he said he regretted that some of his previous statements caused personal pain. So what? That's a human thing to say, not a politically correct thing. Many times I've regretted what I say to others in this very forum!

And it was a fiery speech - he really let Crooked Hillary have it with both barrels.

He said that later asked Hillary to apologize for deleting 33K emails and Bengazi etc.

I watched it all Sam. It was just a gut feeling about that one thing. It felt like “my hero apologized” and “lost” to the media on that point. Several people saw it as a trap for the media. I hope they are right. I guess that is one issue that just goes to my soul. How dare anyone curb free speech in America. I am offended several times a day with people throwing around the f word and using God’s name in vain, but I don’t demand that they stop because I am offended. The rest of the speech was really good. Probably the best thing he did today was going to visit the police and shooting with them. Again proving that he can shoot a bulls eye. In the South that story will spread like wildfire.
