CNN has his “I Regret” Statement headline. I think that he baited CNN into this. He knew that statement would get headlines. I think it was brilliant, those that thought maybe he was a bit harsh with name calling will look at this as “Ok he apologized, so he is reasonable after all, maybe I can vote for this guy”. Now from this day on he can go forward and drill his message of hope and renewal into the American conscience.

Well said. As long as Trump stays on message like he has this week he will improve. You can see it in the polls even now. There might now be a vacuum in the press news too as the press won’t be able to cover gaffs and thus they might be forced to cover Clinton scandals more. Or as in the case of today the Obama iransome payment.

-- CNN has his "I Regret" Statement headline. --

This isn't the pivot that we were expecting ...

ROTFL.

You are right on the money. And I wonder if some of the "over the top" remarks were made, knowing that at some poit, he would have to "change" to become more attractive to more voters. Probaly not planned, but man, what a remarkable contrast.

And right on the heels of Hillary asserting that Trump can't and won't change. Keep that in mind.
