There's an old puzzler I was asked when I was a kid - a boy is fishing a river from a train trestle, and up the mountain he sees a train coming. So he gets off the tracks, but before he does so, he runs a hundred yards towards the oncoming train. Why? Because he was short of the middle of the bridge, and so the fastest way off was to run towards the end where the train was coming from.
Likewise, Hillary's running out of time. This is her last chance for the presidency, so she has to push everything she's got to reach her goal. On the other hand, appropriate medical care probably has side effects that require rest and various kinds of un-hideable support. So if she goes that route, she'll be exposed as unfit, and lose.
But - she's Hillary. Her entire mind is focused 24/7/365 since she was born, on hiding. So what does she do? She tells her docs to give her what will help, but will stay hidden. Then once she wins she can go full modern care, because she's the president at that point.
So yes, her strategy could kill her, but she'd rather die than lose. Hillary lives her life at war. Everything she does can ONLY be understood in that context. She's a pure psychopath, with absolutely no other interests except power for the sake of power alone. Power is her god, and she's a fundamentalist fanatic more extreme than ISIS. She wants the White House - because she wants the White House. And in her mind, no one on the entire planet has enough status to challenge her beyond that simple, direct desire: "because Mom says so."
And with that statement, ten million zombie soccermom heads nod up and down with agreement.

Reading your post made me wonder if those 3 days of rest are modern treatments and rest but her Dr. is only aware, and only require to report, the olde tyme medications.
She’s in danger of not making it to election day so I can see the remote possibility of her using dialysis to remove olde tyme medicines and flush in new medications whenever she gets a break and doesn’t have a medical appt. schedule with her “regular/reporting” physician. Or more likely, she’s never taken the olde tyme prescribed medications and has always been taking modern treatments prescribed by state-of-the-art private liberal doctors.
