...The talking heads immediately came out talking about how "packed" the event was w/ "official" numbers ranging from 2000 to 3000 people depending on the source. .....the event that only took up about 1 third of the venue and showing how much more room there was there, but that won't get reported.

Do the portalet math. Usually plan 5 portalets per 1,000 people. 6 if you expect more women than men. Unless there are other facilities, the planners expected no more than 1,000 people.
