Is the ban only on CNN’s cheerleaders?

CNN, Politico, maybe others. They can all cover the rallies - CNN has a camera crew at the rallies, for example.

The "ban" isn't really a "ban." Some press is allowed to travel with the campaign. Outfits that aren't given that privilege claim they are banned.

Some, like Chris Cuomo, claim that a candidate who turns down an invitation to appear is banning the reporter who issued the invite. If that's true, then Hillary has banned more reporters than Trump has.

Donald Trump banned the Washington Post from official campaign events after stories he did not like and has done the same in the past with BuzzFeed, Politico and Univision. But in an interview with conservative syndicated radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt recently, Gov Pence signaled there could be some movement on that front, though he made no promises.
