Considering the above, I suspect that this is a error or they added some new black respondents from a different part of the country. And we don’t know how large the sample of self identified black voters is.
Just a late night WAG, but the 8/16 poll data would have to had approached 40% change among the subgroup to effect that much of a one day swing.
